Mindi wood, originating in Asia or India, is more commonly known as white cedar or Chinaberry. Mindi has a density similar to Red Oak and is naturally resistant to decay and fungus as is cedar. Mindi has similiar colours to teak or cherry and its texture is similar to oak but with tighter grain patterns. The coarse grain of mindi sands smooth so it accepts stains and finishes readily.
